First off let me say. The food is Okay I’ve had better but they do have a good Udon soup. Not sure how long that Asian looking woman owned it but she’s rude.. Her attitude was observed the last time we visited but because the interaction wasn’t with us we returned.. I knew we were boycotting these businesses but I went and I’m regretting it Listen this woman’s attitude (Owner, working the front) is bad I mean she’s definitely selective and for that I told her to cancel my order ✌️$90.00 Listen, during these times it’s important to show respect to customers especially if you’re running a business her demeanor doesn’t belong in the front of that establishment She actually gave me an impression she didn’t like my kind… It was my fault for even being in that establishment during our boycott, black out. We need to recognize all the types of disrespect these type of businesses have for our dollar. The food isn’t all that. Leave these places alone and support ourselves.

Unfortunately there was a cockroach in our food. As far as we know it was just this one container that was contaminated. We already paid $150 for all of our food (3 people) so there really isnt anything we can do about it but inform others to just think twice before returning here. This is our 3rd time eating at Red Ginger. We liked it because it was the only spot we've taken the family the past years we lived here in Charlotte. The only thing positive was the chef was very nice and cool and was making sure everyone was having a good time we were there and speaking to our family and spanish and the other family in english. This was around 6:30PM on 6/14. This isn't on him. It is unfortunate because we really like this spot but damn for the prices they charge you would think the restaurant location would have better sanitary restrictions in their kitchen and protect the food they serve. Do better. Edit: I just called them to let them know about this so they could try to possibly check their food further and the person I spoke with said that it was most likely our fault because the chef checks the food. So I’ve been to red Ginger several times throughout the years however, last night was different. When You dine with red ginger now. You’re expected to give a 20% gratuity no matter how big your party is in addition to tipping your server so if you’re going to be responsible for a 20% gratuity then turn around and give your server 20% that’s 40% gratuity just to dine with them, so no thank you I will never go back! Charlotte has so many other options for Japanese food that will allow you to tip at leisure!

I took my team to Red Ginger last night for our holiday dinner. The restaurant was rather loud, however, that is to be expected at hibachi. Our chef was very nice and to be honest his service was fast. I don't know if I was hungry or what but it just seemed like he wasted no time getting straight to the point. While the food was very good. the chef was heavy on the garlic. I also would've preferred extra egg in my rice, but I guess I didn't ask nonetheless I'll be back. They would've got four stars however, the waitress forgot to add gratuity to my first bill and ran the card, and then proceeded to run the card again for the second transaction with the gratuity added. So yes the card was run 2x. I found that to be annoying as she had to avoid the original transaction.

I went to the bar for the sake and a draft special. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was early and no one seated yet but Val✨ the bartender was great company. I had hot sake and it was perfect. he sake I have photographed is cold and one of the bartenders fave if you’re looking to try something new.
